Good news - SSS increases Funeral Benefit effective for contingencies on or after 1 August 2015
The new computation of the funeral grant is as follows

Hi Guia - just want to share based on my experience when I filed my funeral claim. (1) be at SSS branch before 7am so that you are hopefully first in line (2) The Retirement/funeral/death counter opens at 8am (3) the funeral claim form at the SSS website is outdated. I was asked to fill up the new form again. (4) bring all original and photocopies of death cert, birth cert, SSS ID
