Call Center of SSS now 24/5 from 16/5

The SSS Call Center is now live 24/5   instead of 16/7
thus, it is open from 7 Monday mornings to 7 Saturday mornings. 
It is closed after 7 Saturday mornings to before 7 Monday mornings.  Also closed on Holidays.

The Help Desk hours has increased by 40 hours so that more members can call in to ask for help

Click on sss-telnos on the left side of the blog so that all posts pertaining to SSS telephone numbers will be displayed.

You need a PIN or security code to get the following info:
     1.  contribution data
     2.  loan status or loan balance
     3.  claim status

To get the PIN or security code, please register first.  To register, do the following:
text  SSS REG

example: SSS REG 0337500398 10/26/79    and send to 2600

To retrieve the PIN in case the member forgets:

Yesterday my friend Baba had this question about her SSS-online inquiry.  She calls herself technically challenged, but she is not. not really.  She is, however, not in IT, so is not as savvy about internet things as some of our other friends.  She is in Marketing last I heard.  Baba is a classmate from Sayans as well.

Her concern?  In her own words -

No, there was no message. It just kept informing me of invalid username and password 

I asked her to do this

 try to retype everything.
that is, blank the spaces, then type.  

she said thanks with a smiley face so i suppose it worked.  If you have a similar concern, try the tip above.

in short, do not use the "cut-and-paste" style, and do not leave your name and password on the screen.  this is not good practice.

It is good to have your own my.sss so do register at www.sss.gov.ph
