i rather like this quote, and i love the book, To Kill a Mockingbird, and of course, the black-and-white movie starring Gregory Peck as the Atticus Finch. If you will remember, Atticus had 2 kids, Scout and Jeremy, and there was also their wonderful neighbor Boo - Boo Radley. Read the book, and watch the movie. A great classic. Atticus defended the black guy. I remember Calpurnia, the housekeeper of the Finches.
Remembering all that, and that today the USA has a black president, Barack Obama.
The one thing that doesn't abide by majority rule is a person's conscience.

btw, i have read the book a couple of times, but the last read was about 10 years ago.
A mockingbird has a beautiful voice, it can also imitate other birds.
